Never! bet with money you cant afford to lose. - Try and have a good bank of money together and use 5% of the banks total maximum on any one bet
- we determine a horse purely on the market as form can be well hidden very often and only a trainer will know the most important thing like a horses fitness
- when considering form of a horse try not to look too deep into statistics, the main factors are can it do the distance, is it fit and can it handle the ground. when a horse is fully wound up something like the draw makes little difference. Jockey error is usually the case for a foiled gamble.
- Try to look at just making a profit and not trying to be too egotistical in determining the winner of a race by selecting the one horse if there are for instance 2 horses trying to win that race.
- often horses that are improving in form for instance form that reads 0095 is better than a horse with form that reads 11123, this looks more consistant however usually notes the handicapper is ahead of him.
- Listen to your intuition as you subconciously record everything in racing when there is a lot of information to take in and it is your inner mind that will alert you to an important factor like a horse has had a previous run and the trainer has it immediately back out while the animal is in form
- Try to avoid the miss-information junkies including horse racing commentators, betting shop radio presenters, racing post indicators and tips, they will make it look like they want you to win however the reality is this, the racing post is funded by the big four bookmakers, and this is a big psycological war. they will give you a lollypop then take every last penny from you.
- they do not care if you cant do the weeks shopping, however i do...its my living to help you win!.... avoid scams like yankees and enhanced odds, and approach racing in a methodical manner. you have the edge in the fact that you do not have to back every race, but the bookmaker has to make a book on every race.
So be patient and wait for the easy races and keep taking his lollypop.
